半世紀にわたって日本ジャズ界を牽引してきたテナーサックスのマエストロ・山口真文の5年ぶりのニューアルバムです。脇を固めるのは小牧良平（b）と本田珠也（ds）という信頼する腕利きプレイヤー。あえてピアノを排したコードレス・トリオという編成で臨んだ意欲作です。 “コードレス”ゆえに立ち現れる広い空間に、山口真文の音像が造形されていく様はじつにスリリング。高純度かつ高濃度のサウンドが上質な緊張感を生み出します。

This is the first new album in 5 years by Mabumi Yamaguchi, a maestro of tenor saxophone who has been leading the Japanese jazz scene for half a century. Ryohei Komaki (b) and Tamaya Honda (ds) are trusted players who set aside. This is an ambitious work that was organized as a “cordless trio” without the piano. It is really thrilling to see the sound of Mabumi Yamaguchi being modeled in the large space that appears because it is "cordless". High-purity and high-concentration sound creates a high-quality tension.
